About Pashos & Associates LLC
Pashos & Associates LLC was founded in 2010 by Kay Pashos, who serves as President and CEO of the firm. Kay has worked in the energy utility industry for over 20 years. Kay has represented energy utility companies before federal and state public utility commissions in a variety of proceedings, such as rate cases, innovative rate design cases, CPCN cases, environmental compliance cases, smart grid, energy efficiency and demand response matters, mergers and acquisitions, and RTO issues.
Kay's resume includes serving as both an in-house lawyer (for Cinergy, PSI Energy, and Alliant Energy) and an outside lawyer (at Baker & Daniels LLP), including serving as General Counsel for Cinergy's Regulated Businesses, and serving as Deputy General Counsel for Alliant Energy. Kay has also served in several executive positions with Cinergy, Duke Energy, and Alliant Energy, notably: President of PSI Energy; Vice President of Regulatory Strategy for Duke Energy; and Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Alliant Energy.
Kay is currently admitted to practice law in both Indiana and Wisconsin (as corporate counsel). Kay graduated with a J.D. degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 1984, and obtained a B.A. degree (cum laude) from DePauw University in 1981.
